Aaah golf, the sport of old rich people who have the time to spend hours upon hours on the rolling green hills of a golf course, following a tiny white speck.

Many of us who have never even attempted to play golf are sure we wouldn’t like it simply because of the people that are most often seen playing it don’t seem to be the most exciting of individuals. But those of us who have tried see this pretty differently, so join us this Golf Month as we show you how much fun this sport can be!

The History of Golf Month

The modern game of golf originated in 15th-century Scotland, but the game’s ancient origins can be traced back to the Roman game of paganica, in which participants used a bent stick to hit a stuffed leather ball. Some historians assert that paganica spread throughout Europe as the Romans conquered most of the continent almost 2,000 years ago, and eventually evolved into the modern game.

Other historians believe that chuiwan a Chinese game played between the eighth and 14th centuries, was the father of modern golf as we know it. A Ming Dynasty scroll dating back to 1368 entitled “The Autumn Banquet” shows a member of the Chinese Imperial court swinging what appears to be a golf club at a small ball with the aim of sinking it into a hole and would thus seem to support this version of history.

Golf Month was created just recently to encourage people who may not think they would like golf to give it a try and benefit from all this sport has to offer.

How to Celebrate Golf Month

The best way to celebrate Golf Month is to get out and play some golf! If you’re someone who already plays golf, maybe try getting some friends or family members who have never tried to join you for a few hours on the course. And if you’ve never tried, it’s the perfect time to! You’ve tried scuba diving and paragliding, and you’ve even learned to play chess…so why not golf?

If you’re still on the fence, consider some of the ways playing golf can be good for your health:

• Playing golf gets you outdoors and keeps you there. Be honest, how much time do you really spend outside? Seeing as how most jobs are stuffy office jobs these days, we assume your answer to this question is, “Not to much”. History of Accounting Day

Accounting Day was first held in 1972 by the San Diego chapter of the California Society of CPA’s. Some remember the Institute of Management Accountants as the original organizers of the event.

Nevertheless, it was created to help inspire younger generations into an accounting career. In 1976, other organizations were invited to celebrate the holiday and Accounting Day became an official holiday celebrated everywhere. While accounting has a longer history than its holiday, it deserved to have its own holiday.

Today, Accounting Day is operated by the Accounting Education Institute. Accounting Day provides plenty of networking opportunities, giving people a chance to have educational opportunities in the fields of accounting and finance.

The AEI contributes to many scholarship funds for major universities and works with them getting college students into accounting. They also help them get real-world applications for job opportunities. Organizations are encouraged to participate in accounting day to help their members connect and provide education for potential future accountants.

How to celebrate Accounting Day

If an accounting organization near you is hosting an Accounting Day event, then why not celebrate this day by attending the event! Through attending, you’ll be able to meet with some of the best accountants out there and network with them for future job opportunities.

This day represents the perfect opportunity for you to hone your networking skills as well. After all, it is all about accountants connecting with one and other. There are a number of different things that you can do on Accounting Day to help you improve your networking. This includes the following:

Celebration Hemophilia Awareness Month March 2021

Sadly, there are many life-threatening medical conditions that many of us know little to nothing about, unless we happen to have a family member who suffers from such a condition.

Thankfully, nowadays most people realize how very important it is to get the word out about various diseases in order to raise awareness about the difficulties some of those around us have to deal with every day.

Hemophilia Awareness Month was created to do just that: shed some light on a condition that is still unknown to many, and find ways to help hemophiliacs who may feel all alone with their problems, or simply lack the financial means necessary to keep their illness under control.

In short, hemophilia is a disease that prevents the blood from clotting after an injury, meaning that a sufferer simply bleeds on and on, something that can easily cause serious health consequences, or even death.

If you don’t know much about this serious medical condition, this is the perfect time to change that and help make the world just a little bit better!

The History of Hemophilia Awareness Month

In order to understand why Hemophilia Awareness Month is so important, it is necessary to know a bit of the disease’s history. It is hard to say when exactly people started suffering from it, but it was first discovered in the 10^th century, when physicians began to look deeper into the cases of various people, especially men and boys, who bled to death from seemingly minor injuries.

Sadly, however, the physicians of the 10^th century were in no way equipped to study the condition properly, and so hemophiliacs were forced to wait until the 19^th century for some answers.

In the meantime, many people continued to suffer from the disease, with some of the most noted cases being those of European royal family members, such as Queen Victoria’s son Prince Leopold. Prince Leopold died at a young age due to internal hemorrhaging caused by a relatively minor fall.

At the time, the condition was “treated” with aspirin, which unbeknownst to the people of the day, only caused it to worsen, as it made the blood of the hemophiliac even thinner than it would have been normally. In 1803, Dr. John Conrad Otto began extensively studying the people he called “bleeders”, and slowly ways to avoid spontaneous, profuse bleeding were discovered, such as the administration of clotting factors.

Unfortunately, however, a definitive cure has not yet been found. It is estimated that 400,000 people the world over suffer from hemophilia, many of which cannot afford proper treatment.

How to Celebrate Hemophilia Awareness Month

Scientists and doctors all over the world work tirelessly trying to find a cure for this illness, but that does not mean that people who are not doctors or scientists cannot do anything to help combat it. Various social media we have access to today, such as Facebook and Twitter to name but a few, are incredible tools that can be used to help more people find out about hemophilia.

These people can in turn make even a small donation to the World Federation of Hemophilia, which helps fund the research needed to finally beat the disease and also pay for treatment for those unable to do it themselves. So play your part in raising awareness for hemophilia this March—like or follow the World Federation of Hemophilia on your preferred social network, and then share, like and retweet!

   No March Madness celebration is complete without brackets. Usually filled out among offices or groups of friends, brackets are a great way to make March Madness even more interesting. March Madness is unpredictable, so sometimes the strangest predictions can come true!

3. Pick a team and watch the games

   Watching the games is an important part of celebrating March Madness. Pick a team to root for and join in on the fun, before you know it you will be cheering along with millions of other fans.

2. Pay it forward

   If you have soup at your table, you are fortunate. Volunteer at a soup kitchen and feed the hungry.

3. Invent your family soup recipe

   Put on your chef’s hat. Ask everyone in the family to pick their favorite vegetable, meat, herb, or spice. Include them in a family recipe that you can hand down to the next generation!
